Scholarship Program Honors 22 Outstanding Scholars
For 11 years, the NASE Scholarship program has been committed to helping today's best
and brightest students reach their dreams for tomorrow.
The NASE Scholarship Program was born in 1989 out of the association's desire to provide
children of the self-employed with an opportunity for college financial aid. As of 2000, The
NASE Scholarship Program has awarded $855,000 to 423 outstanding students.
The scholarship competition is open to legal dependents of NASE Members in good
standing. Winners are selected based on past academic performance and leadership
characteristics such as dedication, commitment, ingenuity and desire, career and
educational goals, school and community participation, work experience, and letters of
recommendation. Financial need is considered in the final screen. Recipients are selected
without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion or national origin.
Scholarship funds may be used to fund the full-time study of any major at accredited
colleges and universities, post-secondary vocational schools and community colleges. Funds
may also be applied to tuition, books, lab fees and other related educational expenses.
This year's 22 scholarship recipients are an extraordinary group of young people. Each will
receive a $4,000 scholarship toward their education. Please join us in congratulating them.
