Dear Chair Vitter and Ranking Member Shaheen:

On behalf of the undersigned small business organizations and our members nationwide, we write in support of Darryl L. DePriest’s nomination to serve as Chief Counsel for the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy (Advocacy).

Mr. DePriest’s extensive legal and regulatory experience will serve him well as Chief
Counsel for Advocacy. We are confident that Mr. DePriest will be an advocate for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The Office of Advocacy plays a critical role, conducting research on the small business sector, advocating for small businesses within the federal government’s agencies and rulemaking processes, and fostering public awareness of small business contributions and concerns.

We proudly support Mr. DePriest’s nomination and we look forward to working with
Mr. DePriest to solve the challenges faced by America’s small businesses.
