Posted by Molly Nelson -Why is a small change to the tax code that would help make health insurance more affordable for 8 percent of the total U.S. labor force missing from current health reform legislation?  As this BusinessWeek article explains, the tax code does not allow self-employed workers to fully deduct the cost of their health insurance premiums

Tax equality in health insurance premiums for the self-employed has long been a legislative priority for the NASE, and as Executive Director of the NASE's Legislative Offices Kristie Arslan notes in the Business Week article, "You correct this, think of the widespread health benefit you would give to so many people."
