NASE Remains Hopeful, Firm About Tonight's Debate

Oct 03, 2012
In preparation for tonight's first debate, NASE President Kristie L. Arslan had the following to say:

“Tonight will be an important night for both candidates to articulate their vision for the 22 million self-employed Americans, 78% of the total small business community.  Over and over, polling has emphasized that the economy is the #1 issue for voters and yet, both candidates continue to be vague in their answers as to how they will recalibrate our economy and government to ensure brighter days are ahead.  Tonight, we expect answers.  The self-employed need to hear from the candidates the specifics, how will they address tax reform, ensure health insurance is affordable, and reduce government regulations.  Tell us how you will lead.”
