TaxTalk, taking the country by storm

Feb 11, 2009

Posted by Maureen Petron - Last year, when Keith Hall (NASE's tax guru) and I hosted  NASE TaxTalk seminars in 10 cities across the country over a 3-week period, we were exhausted.

So this year, we're visiting nine cities in ... two weeks.

Our exhaustion is your gain, because the condensed schedule means we're likely to make it to a city near you earlier in tax season. (It also means we'll be drinking lots and lots of coffee, but that's just a side note.)

Before you need coffee just thinking about a tax seminar, let me put your mind to rest. Not being an accountant myself (I'm just the logistics girl), and having listened to 15 of these over the past two years (ok, ok, just 14 - snow stranded me in D.C. and Keith had to do Chicago by himself last year!), I can tell you that Keith keeps it pretty interesting.

After some time for networking and filling up your plates with a full continental breakfast, Keith's presentation consists of the top questions you probably have, his headache remedies (or tips to help filing go more smoothly) and the deductions you might be missing.

There's plenty of time for Q & A during the seminar, and because these are small-group events, there's plenty of discussion and learning.

Here's where we'll be this March:

  • Friday, March 13: Raleigh, N.C.
  • Monday, March 16: Salem, Mass.
  • Wednesday, March 18: Minneapolis, Minn.
  • Thursday, March 19: Pittsburgh, Pa.
  • Friday, March 20: Arlington, Va.
  • Monday, March 23: Oakland, Calif.
  • Tuesday, March 24: Denver, Colo.
  • Thursday, March 26: Las Vegas, Nev.
  • Friday, March 27: San Marcos, Texas

If you still aren't convinced, click on the image to the right and watch the question and answer session from a previous seminar.

And if that isn't enough, click below to watch a short video featuring an NASE Member who attended last year's Phoenix seminar.
