Watch out for crooked loan agents trying to take advantage of small business owners applying for SBA loans! In some happier news, the Kauffman Foundation reports that entrepreneurial activity in the U.S. rose to its highest rate in 14 years in 2009, and Inc. has a guide for getting certified as a minority-owned business.

FreelanceFolder suggests using Zen practices to increase productivity (as I try to surreptitiously organize the papers on my desk), while Good Plum cautions small business owners against perfectionism.
