Starbucks Offering Free Wi-Fi

Jun 16, 2010
Posted by Molly Nelson - If you're looking for a change of scenery from your home office, after July 1st you may want to visit your local Starbucks and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced this week that the Wi-Fi would be provided by AT&T, and that Starbucks would also be offering exclusive access to free articles, music, videos and other content through a partnership with Yahoo!.

Previously, customers who purchased and registered a Starbucks card and used it in the last month could access the Internet at Starbucks at no additional charge after logging in. Starbucks customers without cards, and cardholders wanting more time, were charged $3.99 per two-hour session.

Will the free Internet access entice you to visit Starbucks more? Do you have another spot you frequent when you want a break from your office?
