Now is the Time to Finalize & Submit Returns to Avoid Delays in Any Expected Refunds

DALLAS, TX – With just three weeks until the 2021 tax filing deadline and expected delays at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Keith Hall, the president and CEO of the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation's leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-businesses, today encouraged the American public and the small business community to “finalize 2021 tax returns to avoid any further delays to any expected refunds.”

“Now is the time to file you 2021 tax returns, the April 18th tax filing deadline is just around the corner,” said Keith Hall, president and CEO of the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE)“There have been updates to key policies of the tax code that can benefit you depending on your situation. Ensure you gather your documents, review the updated policies, and don’t leave anything on the table.  With expected delays at the IRS, file as soon as possible to receive any expected refunds without delay. “And if you still cannot make the deadline and need more time, request an extension so you are not penalized for being late,” concluded Hall.

Hall was recently interviewed by Law360 about the home office deduction and how beneficial it can be for small businesses, and other filers, who can take can take an easy, one check marked box, streamlined deduction for the use of their home for business purposes.
