After First Tax Filing Season of the Nation’s New Tax System, Small Businesses Continue to Benefit from a More Simplified Filing System with Key Policy Changes and Updates – Now is the Time to Update Your Plan for 2019
DALLAS, TX – In recognition of National Small Business Week – a week dedicated to recognizing and honoring the outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners located across all 50 states and U.S. territories – which runs from Sunday, May 5th through Saturday, May 11th , the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) , the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, “applauded the entrepreneurial spirit of our nation’s small businesses who help strengthen our nation’s economy every day.”
“Millions of small business owners from every single State and from every demographic you can think of contribute each and every day to providing a critical boost to the overall American economy,” said Keith Hall, President and CEO . “The main reason our economy is strong and prosperous is due to the millions of hard-working small business owners who have chosen self-employment, not only to support their own families, but also the families benefiting from the new jobs they create.

The National Association for the Self-Employed is currently conducting a snap poll of its membership about the impact of the new tax system on their 2018 tax returns. Results are expected soon.

“… the overwhelming majority of small businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs can expect to benefit from key changes and updates to the tax code that will help save both time and money … The nation’s new tax code is based on the simple principle of small businesses reinvesting their tax savings directly back into their day-to-day business operations by purchasing new equipment, investing in expansion, and/or hiring new employees -- helping to spur overall economic growth throughout the country. However, it is understandably difficult for the small business owner to invest in new opportunities or to create that extra job when they are still unclear on exactly how much in tax savings that will actually be realized .”
