Katie Vlietstra, Vice President for the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), Available for Interviews

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the government’s small business aid program, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), comes to a close on June 30thKatie Vlietstra, Vice President for Government Relations and Public Affairs for the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, “encourages all small businesses and self-employed workers to apply before the deadline of June 30th.”

Vlietstra is available to discuss those impacted by COVID-19 in the small business community – including the self-employed and gig-economy workers – as well as other financial options available, impact of the PPP program, and how small businesses can take advantage of applying in the final days.

“There are still funds available for small businesses to apply for financial support through the PPP program. Unfortunately, the program has been fraught with complications and restrictions that prevented many small businesses who desperately need it from obtaining funds for payroll, rent, utilities and healthcare.  It is our hope small businesses who haven’t already received any funds do so immediately.”
