Encourages Consumers to Use NASE’s “Small Business Locator” to Identify & Connect with Small Businesses Across the Country DALLAS, TX – Ahead of this week’s Small Business Saturday – a national day established to support small businesses across the country – the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) , the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, unveiled a new infographic highlighting the economic power of America’s small business community.
“The millions of small businesses across our country continue to be the backbone of America’s economy,” said Keith Hall, President and CEO of NASE . “Over 23 million self-employed and small business owners, located in every community and in every sector throughout the United States, provide the fuel for our economy. The simple fact is that when America’s small businesses do well, the American economy thrives. The infographic released today by the National Association for the Self-Employed shows that in 2014:
63% of new, private-sector jobs were created by small businesses; and that 2014 Small Business Saturday sales surpassed $14.3 billion.
In addition to today’s infographic release, the National Association for the Self-Employed also encourages consumers across the country to identify and connect with small business in their local communities by using the NASE “Small Business Locator”.
The NASE “Small Business Locator” is a searchable database allowing consumers to located NASE’s self-employed and micro-businesses in their local communities across the country. The database also allows consumers to search by industry to more readily connect with the specific business service they need.
“The NASE ‘Small Business Locator’ is a one-stop shop for consumers to identify and connect with our member businesses nationwide,” said John Hearrell, Vice President of Membership and Affiliate Programs. “It’s an easily searchable database for consumers nationwide who are interested in seeking out opportunities to support their local business community.”
