Encourages Consumers to Use NASE’s “Small Business Locator” to Identify & Connect with Small Businesses Across the Country

DALLAS, TX – With this weekend’s upcoming Small Business Saturday – a national day established to support small businesses across the country – the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, released the following statement “encouraging Americans from coast to coast to support their local Mom and Pop small businesses because they are the heart of the American workforce.”

“Millions of small businesses across the country are counting on our neighbors and communities to come out and support them during this weekend’s Small Business Saturday,” said Keith Hall, President and CEO of NASE.  “Over 27 million self-employed and small business owners from around the nation provide the economic fuel to keep our country moving. With the recent election of a new president and Congress, key small business issues ranging from health care to regulation and tax reform are on the front burner.  This Saturday is an opportunity for all of us to show our elected-officials how important we believe America’s small business community is to our economy by supporting locally-owned small businesses.”

“When America’s small businesses succeed, the American economy thrives.  During Small Business Saturday this weekend and throughout the year, I hope consumers understand the importance of buying both American and local by supporting our small business community.”

Small Business Saturday takes place on Saturday, November 26, 2016.

The National Association for the Self-Employed also encourages consumers across the country to identify and connect with small business in their local communities by using the NASE “Small Business Locator”. The NASE “Small Business Locator” is a searchable database allowing consumers to located NASE’s self-employed and micro-businesses in their local communities across the country.  The database also allows consumers to search by industry to more readily connect with the specific business service they need.
