NASE Supports Credit for Caring in 119th Congress

In a letter to Congressional leaders, NASE along with dozens of other organizations, urged Congress to enact financial relief for family caregivers by including the bipartisan, bicameral Credit for Caring Act (S. 3702/H.R. 7165 in the 118th Congress) in any tax legislation you advance in the 119th Congress. This legislation would create a new, non-refundable federal tax credit for eligible working family caregivers to help address the financial challenges of caregiving.

Beneficial Ownership: Courts Strike Down The Corporate Transparency Act

The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), enacted in 2021, mandates companies to report their beneficial owners to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). On December 3, 2024, when the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a nationwide preliminary injunction against the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). The CTA, enacted to enhance financial transparency, mandates that certain business entities report their beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

National Association Awards $28K in Growth Grants Supporting America’s Record-Setting Growth in the Small Business Community

As our nation’s small business community continues its record-breaking surge with over 19 million new business applications for a third-consecutive year, the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, announced today $28,000 in Growth Grants to seven local small businesses for the third quarter of 2024.
