Starting a small business is just the beginning of a complicated yet rewarding way of life for entrepreneurs. Evolving from having an idea to taking all the necessary legal steps to creating a small business is just the beginning. Once your business has been created, it’s time to focus on growing it.
The action of growing a small business includes many different subjects. Marketing, creating an online presence, getting financial accounts squared away, and building a loyal customer base is just the beginning. The challenge of building a small business into a successful endeavor is only exacerbated by a lack of one very important aspect: organization.

Representatives have a wide array of small business health insurance and financial products available to protect you and your assets, including Life insurance, Dental discounts and health insurance. Dental Insurance is provided by Renaissance Dental. Life insurance is provided by MetLife.

Q: I am struggling with the Affordable Care Act and how to guess what my income will be for 2015. My 2014 tax return is not completed yet so I am using my 2013 tax return as a guide. Which numbers should I use to determine if I am eligible for a subsidy? Do I use the gross income from my business or do I also count expenses?

The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, today applauded the introduction of the Small Business Healthcare Relief Act of 2014, which would allow for standalone health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) for small employers (49 or less employees). Katie Vlietstra, Vice President for Government Relations and Public Affairs, said the bill is a “big win for the small business community, but today’s introduction is only the first step in a long process before it becomes law.”

The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) is pleased to provide enthusiastic support for H.R. 5860, Small Business Healthcare Relief Act of 2014, which would allow for standalone health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) for small employers (with 49 employees or less). The bill was introduced by Representatives Boustany (R-LA) and Thompson (D-CA).

The NASE along with the Council for Affordable Health Coverage, National Association for Home Builders, and the National Federation of Independent Business, asked congressional leaders to consider including language championed by Congressman Blackburn (R-TN) that would "prohibit the application of certain health insurance market requirements (no lifetime or annual limits and coverage of preventive health services) for Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and similar accounts used by a small employer in 2015."
