2 MILLION OBAMACARE ENROLLMENTS HAVE DATA INCONSISTENCIES

According to government documents obtained by the Associated Press, the accounts of more than 2 million people who signed up for Obamacare have "data discrepancies," some of which could affect their subsidy eligibility. The discrepancies include "important details on income, citizenship and immigration status," according to the AP. The biggest concern is that some people may have received too high a subsidy, meaning they'd be asked to repay the excess or lose their coverage.

Small Business Groups Send Joint Letter to D.C. City Council Opposing New Health Care Tax Passed Last Month

Following-up on last month’s D.C. City Council’s passage of a 1% health care tax, small business groups led by the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for self-employed and micro-businesses, today submitted an official letter to the D.C. City Council opposing the new tax. Passed unanimously in a vote on May 6th, 2014, PR20-0744 – Health Benefit Exchange Authority Financial Sustainability Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2014 – would leverage a 1% tax on all health-insurance carriers with gross receipts of $50,000 or more within the District of Columbia. The small business groups signing the letter with NASE include the American Independent Business Coalition and the Southern Consumers Alliance.
