Q: I purchased a business in 2000 and am currently in negotiations to sell it to a corporation. At the time, I took depreciation for goodwill, equipment, restrictive covenant, etc. I will be selling this business at a loss. Am I permitted to deduct the loss on my taxes?

Self-Employed Head To Polls With Unanswered Questions (Yahoo! Small Business Advisor)

NASE, which is non-partisan and does not endorse a candidate, promised to use the candidates' answers to educate and inform its membership about the positions of each on small business taxes and economic recovery "so that they may make the best decision for their business in November." But November is here and the answers never came.

New Pew Presidential Poll Shows Even Race, 47%- 47%

Pew Research Center released a new poll showing the Presidential race even, 47%- 47%, however, the poll gives a slight turnout edge to Governor Romney, but oddly the poll participants still believe the President Obama will win re-election, 49%.
