NASE Comments at Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Roundtable on Health Reform

NASE Executive Director, Kristie Arslan, participated in a roundtable hosted by the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship regarding the healthcare reform priorities of small business. Arslan commented that for the last decade, the cost of health care has been consistently been selected by NASE members as the top issue affecting their business. The economic downturn has made it even more crucial that Congress provide relief to the self-employed from the high health care costs that are strangling their businesses.

NASE Supports Small Business Legislation Introduced By Sen. Merkley

The Small Business Jump Start Act of 2009 (S. 1402) will increase the small business start-up expenses deduction from $5,000 to $10,000 and increase the threshold for the deduction phase-out from $50,000 to $60,000.
