As millions of Americans begin to prepare their 2012 tax returns, the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation's leading resource for the self-employed and micro-businesses, today launched a public awareness initiative designed to alert the public, the self-employed and micro-businesses nationwide of this year’s changes to the tax code. The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) Awarded $54,796 in business grants to its members in 2012. Eleven NASE Members, including an apiary and a public relations firm, received a grant from the association.

Career setbacks and restarts can be particularly challenging for the self-employed.
Rather than just focusing on updating one’s resume and strategizing on whom to send it to, the self-employed often have to reinvent their brand, find a new way of doing business and uncover a fresh customer base.
